I get why they aren't doing a full launch in the west. But why don't you put in in English as a formal alternative at PSO2AH this point? They could probably even just directly buy the present translation to get cheap (I would imagine they'd be happy to sell it) and would simply need to translate thing lore, add in subtitles or even w/e. A full western launch at this point is overkill as so many players play on Asian servers, but I don't get why they do not just formally support their present western audience. The majority of the work for it's done already.
I've been enjoying PSO2 since the Closed Beta in Japan and I would like to weigh in on this. Despite its age, it has incredible images, (it is not horribly outdated anyway, the CBTs have been in 2011 iirc), MMOs aren't a really big thing in Japan due to their way their culture functions generally, so any MMO that communicates an extended duration there usually has to be kept alive with a decently sized paying playerbase. You read wrong, a program called PSO2 Tweaker does all this for you and far more, it even downloads Phantasy Star Online 2 for you. The sign up process is simple, all you need to do is have basic image matching abilities for the japanese captcha (or join the PSO2 discord and place your own captcha there and allow someone who knows the terminology do it for you)
Phantasy Star Online 2 is 50gb because the mountain of theatres in Phantasy Star Online 2 is beyond ridiculous, there's a huge trend side to Phantasy Star Online 2, there is a good deal of general content also, really extensive. Phantasy Star Online 2 is worth it and I won't even get into just how honest Phantasy Star Online 2 is for free to play players beyond the next, there's no way for me to adequately describe just how fair SEGAJP would be to you, the average joe. This is a pickup and go game created for both the easygoing and hardcore player with a rather simple pay-check style weekly pursuit system which lets you finish pursuit on week-2week rotations to create an extremely large quantity of gold on a per-character basis, and the market is balanced with the players nearly entirely around this concept. I played the English patch for quite a long time a few years ago so I'll try my best to answer. Population is not likely to be a problem since Phantasy Star Online 2 is hub-based a-la Monster Hunter with people simply partying for dungeons, farming and supervisors. When you aren't out in the area you will see people just hanging out in the station. The"social network" a part of Phantasy Star Online 2 makes sense for a lot of individuals look like they simply log in to talk and joke about. Its a arcade game you need to enjoy this to get into it. Therefore that I suppose it will age nicely graphically, its anime aesthetic. I really don't think I agree with another guy saying that PSO2 endgame makes souls look easy. Every class does play with a few, like the gunner, with a lot of timing but most are cheap Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta casual.
