Both of these tools enhance your data connection making the most of the speed available. Any connections attempted without these solutions may appear to work, and potentially use airtime, but may not provide the expected service.     SOS Emergency Button  The Iridium Extreme®Satellite Phone has a programmable emergency button that activates critical, rapid response when you need it most. It is the only satellite phone currently available with emergency services supported by GEOS International Emergency Response Coordinating Center, included at no additional cost.   GPS Positioning  The Iridium Extreme Sat Phone is equipped with Location Based Services (LBS) enabling GPS positioning. This allows you pinpoint and share your coordinates from anywhere on the globe.   Jet Water Resistant  With a ruggedized IP65 rating, the highest of any satellite phone currently available, the Iridium Extreme Sat Phone is designed to withstand the harshest weather conditions. It is jet water resistant, shock resistant, dust proof and has a rugged antenna for unparalleled durability.   Online Tracking  When used in conjunction with GTCTrack, GTC’s online advanced mapping portal, the Iridium Extreme® offers a variety of advanced tracking functions such as a breadcrumb trails of historic movements, live view (position of last message transmitted) and exact location of SOS and emergency requests. These tracking functions are available with an additional subscription. Not all mobile networks allow you to send text messages to satellite phones and as a result text messaging can be unreliable.
