Shri Odhavji Patel, dubbed the ‘Father of Wall Clocks’, was the business visionary who started the Ajanta Ajanta Transistor Clock Manufacturing Company in 1971. Starting with mechanical clocks, Shri Odhavji Patel soon ventured into making musical clocks, key clocks and winding clocks by 1974. Soon the visionary entrepreneur brought back advanced quartz technology from Japan and started making quartz clocks which became an instant success in India.

Shri Odhavji Patel envisioned a company that had the potential to change society and give employment opportunities to many women. Visionary leaders spread across generations helped the company diversify into the manufacture of telephones and calculators. Then, with their growing expertise in manufacturing electronic circuits and an acute understanding of the market, the company forayed into manufacturing emergency lights, electric fans, blenders, steam irons and the engineering marvel - the Oreva E-Bike.

The present Managing Director of Oreva Group Shri. Jaysukh Patel is taking the rich legacy of Shri Odhavji Patel forward with his plans to transform the company’s turnover manifold.
