One of the most frequent complaints of office workers who sit all day is back pain. Several studies on workers with persistent back pain were undertaken to see if standing desks could improve this problem. After utilizing a standing desk for a few weeks, participants reported reductions in lower back pain of up to 32%. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) discovered in another study that using a sit-stand workstation for just four weeks might significantly lower upper back and neck pain by 54%. In addition, two weeks after the corner standing desk was taken away, back and neck problems started to return.
Standing desks have been proven in numerous studies to considerably lessen chronic back discomfort brought on by extended sitting.
