Google Doodles Google made a set of etchings to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Pac-Man. In the first Portrait, Pacman was eating a piece of fruit that looked like a Google totem. The totem also breaks in two, with a ghost on one side and a maze on the other. Pacman was following a fleck of grass through a maze in the alternate portrait. Pacman was making his way through a maze in the third Portrait. The Google logo was on the screen of a computer where Pac-Man was sitting in the fourth Portrait. In the end, the fifth portrait showed Pacman standing in front of a group of followers and giving them a signal. At the 1997 World Computer Chess Crowns, Pacman was used as the charm for the Pacman competition. In 1999, he was in a commercial for Google.com. The commercial showed a real-life Pacman trying to catch his own reflection in a glass while dancing to "It's Raining Men."
