Richie Commins, a Student at NUI Galway, Developed The Flag Get ready to ‘Flag’ taxis as world’s safest app comes to Dublin. A new taxi app designed for students, called Flag is launching in Dublin City this December. It is the only app in the world that allows you to travel and pay for taxis with no phone, cash or bank card while ensuring the driver gets paid. Flag was invented by NUI Galway student Richie Commins, it started out as a college project previously known as Dash (Driving All Students Home). Richie began to research the idea of getting students home safely while paying drivers without cash, phones or bank cards.
